About this Event
Logan Ledger migrated to Nashville from California and quickly built a buzz, calling to mind names like George Jones, Roy Orbison, and Webb Pierce. Producer T-Bone Burnett signed him, brokered a record deal and produced his 2020 bringing in guitarist Marc Ribot. Ledger wrote or co-wrote most of the songs, including one each with Steve Earle (“The Lights of San Francisco”) and John Paul White (“Tell Me a Lie”). "One thing is undeniable: Logan Ledger has a special voice and the songwriting acumen to pair with it to be worth hearing and being heard," wrote one reviewer.
That was followed by 2023's Golden State, produced by Shooter Jennings with a different studio crew including Cage The Elephant guitarist Nick Bockrath, pedal-steel player Russ Pahl (Sturgill Simpson, Tyler Childers), and Jennings himself (on piano, Wurlitzer, organ), dreaming up a lush and spirited sound partly inspired by the California country-rock scene of the late-’60s and early-’70s.. It also earned raves. "Golden State is a flawless creation from start to finish, an addictively listenable album whether you’re in the mood to follow the twisty trail of its lyrics or just let the gorgeous California-drenched sounds carry you on their currents," offered one review.
