AHP cordially invites all fellow Haitians to the first of our Lodyans ak GranDèt Yo Series featuring special Guest: Carole Demesmin (Activist/Legendary Artist/Practitioner of Spiritual Traditions), on Saturday, January 31st at Citadel Creole Cuisine, 11300 Fern St, Wheaton, MD 20902.

Theme: "Crossroads of 222 years: Renewing Self-love and True Love of Hayti, beyond Ancestors' Legacy."

In commemoration of Haiti's Ancestors' Day and Haiti’s 222nd Independence Anniversary, join us for this enriching and uplifting Exchange with our Iconic and Legendary Carole Demesmin. Catapult yourself into a space of dialogue, openess and discovery. New year, new beginning, cleansing to renew Self and Collectively with heightened awareness, while strengthening each other with Trust. Event concludes with an opportunity for social networking and meaningful connections.

About Carole Demesmin-Arty

Born in Léogâne, Haiti Carole Demesmin-Arty has always been driven by her deep love for her country and its culture. She has consistently advocated for the preservation and respect of traditional values. From 1970 to 2014, Carole dedicated most of her time to developing and perfecting her singing career, which began when she joined a cultural group called "Haïti Culturelle" in 1972. Since then, she has released five (5) albums: 2014 - "Carole Leoganèz" (promoted in the USA, Montreal, Belgium); 1990 - "Carole Bel Congo"; 1987 - "Lawouze" (major promotional tour); 1984 - "Men Rara"(received "Album of the Year" award); 1969 - "Carole Mawoule" (with composer Jean-Claude Martineau, first prize in an international competition).


In 1994, under the guidance of the renowned Vodou Priest/Ougan Max Beauvoir, Carole deepened her understanding of African spiritual traditions and became an Initiated Manbo (Vodou Priestess).


Today, Carole is actively involved as a founder or leader in cultural and educational initiatives. She is completing the project "Ayiti Bèl Nanm", a theatrical and musical masterpiece celebrating Haiti's cultural heritage and artistic development. 2025- Launching of "Ayiti Bèl Nanm", produced by Production Bèl Ayiti. 2020-2024 - Led the project " Retour à la Source", inspired by the Houxwe Festival in Ouidah, Benin. 2020 - Founder and President of Production Bèl Ayiti in Florida. 2019 - Founding member and adviser of the political party "MANMAN" in Haiti. 2016 - 2019 - Founder and President of ALOVIYE, operating in Haiti, Canada and Florida. 2017 - Installed in Benin by Pontiff Daagbo Hounon Tomadjlehoupkon II Houwamenou as Sub-Pontiff of the Houxwe Kingdom and Representative of Beninese Vodou in Haiti. 2005 - Founder of the United Haitian Artists U.H.A., a non-profit organization in New York promoting Haitian folklore and music.


Despite her busy schedule, Carole tirelessly and proudly continues to promote the spiritual and cultural values she inherited.
