About this Event
Lochend Branch of Living rent are raising money to put on a community event for kids in our area this christmas!
There are two main categories for people to enter in. The under 16's and 16yrs and over, so everyone no matter your age can take part. You don't have to be a professional baker to enter, just someone who enjoys making sweet treats!
There are four categories you can enter in:
Cakes -
From the traditional Victoria Sponge cake to a modern cheesecake. This is the category for you if you like baking birthday cakes or just baking on a big scale that can make a statement.
Cupcakes -
A smaller version of big cakes but can hold just as much flavour and be just as creatively designed.
Brownies and traybakes -
Can be any treat you can make in a tray, from fudgy brownies to millionaire shortbread and even the classic school cake!
Biscuits -
If sponges aren't your thing go for this category and make a batch of your favourite biscuits!
The Categories will be split between the 'under 16's' and '16yr olds and over'.
Prizes to be won are from each category are:
- Under 16's best decorated
- 16yrs and over best decorated
- Under 16's Most delicious
- 16yrs and over Most delicious
'Best in show prize' will be award to one person from each age bracket of all bakes voted by those who sample the treats on the day.
Rules:
- You don't have to bake one type/flavour of sweet treat, just pay for each as a separate entry fee. For example: If you enter a batch of biscuits and a big cake then you'd have to pay two entry fees.
- Make enough and bring to be sampled and tasted. For example: At least a dozen cupcakes, a whole batch of biscuits.
People with entry's must have tickets before the event and show up at 12:15pm to the venue at the latest so that they can set up and have their bakes be judged by our non-bias judges before other people arrive.
