Texas Health Community Hope is planting the seeds for a healthier community by creating opportunities to learn directly from local urban farmers. The 'Locally Grown Farm Experience' series will feature hands-on activities at local farms around Dallas-Fort Worth.
Locally Grown Farm Experience at Tabor Farms: Harvest to Market
Saturday, June 1, 2024 | 8- 9:30a.m.
Join us for a morning "on the farm" and learn from urban farmers firsthand, gain tips, and discover how we all can support local farmers in their efforts to enhance community well-being.
During the Harvest to Market Farm Experience, you'll learn what it takes for urban farmers to get their harvest picked, prepped and ready for the market! You'll learn about the ins & outs of urban farming and how you can support. You may even walk away with a few giveaways!
This event is designed for Adults 18 years or older. There is no fee to participate, however advanced registration is required and spaces are limited. Registration is open until May 31 or until the class is filled.
