About this Event
LocalGovCamp23 is going to focus on the Innovation taking place in the different service areas of Local Government and share and celebrate the successes of many local authorities who are delivering improved citizen outcomes, better staff morale and well-being and savings for their organisations whilst under the financial pressures they are being put under by various events, both at home and abroad, that are beyond their control.
Taking place in the Watershed, a buzzing multi-arts venue with an arthouse cinema and cafe bar in a warehouse overlooking the water, we will be bring Local Gov organisations from across the country to get involved in a number of types of interactive sessions that will include:
- interactive workshops
- unconference sessions (for more information on how these work, visit
- networking activities
- interactive panel discussions & Q&As

There will be a number of lightning talks from speakers from LAs delivering service transformation innovation in the morning and then a short series of interactive workshops followed by an afternoon of unconference Sessions and networking.
There will be the opportunity to pitch unconference sessions both "online" prior to the event and on the day "in-person"

Networking Opportunities
We will be asking attendees a few questions about digital/service transformation projects they are working on and where there are common topics and issues, we are going to run some discussion sessions throughout the day where those working on similar projects/programmes can connect.
Opportunities to win some prizes and marketing gubbins
These activities are sponsored and supported by suppliers active in the Local Gov marketplace and there will be a a number of exhibitor areas and to make the day more fun, we will be providing some "fun" activities around visiting these with prizes to be won.

The Social
LocalGovCamp is a great opportunity to get together with peers from Local Authorities that you wouldn't usually get to meet-up with and talk to and to make this even easier....and possibly more fun, there will be a social the night before which will involve a trip to a couple of Bristol's fine hostelries and more than likely, a good curry house.
Last year, more than 60 attendees joined us for a curry at the legendary Manzils in Digbeth (see pic above) and we hope that many can join us on the Tuesday night in Bristol
