About this Event
Sundews are small insectivorous plants found in special and exciting places in Hampshire.East of the New Forest, they are uncommon, but in 1986 two types of sundew were found growing at an ancient site near Southampton. By 2010, the site was seriously overgrown and the sundews were gone. Subsequent conservation work has enabled both species to return
naturally. The talk describes processes for better understanding the sundew, the habitat they need and the management techniques required.
Free parking available at Wallington Village Hall. Refreshments available at the break. Everyone welcome.
