Harvest In the Harbor Tomato Tasting and Rating
As part of the Harvest In The Harbor festival we will be hosting a tomato tasting and rating competition at 1 p.m. on September 21st at the Carlisle Pavilion, located along the Ashtabula River by the public docks on Bridge Street. Visitors will be able to taste and rate tomatoes gathered from the eight farmers' markets in the county. This will be a blind taste test. You will not know the grower or the market they represent. After tasting, visitors will give a rating of 1-5 for both appearance and taste. We will announce a winner in taste and appearance, and an overall winner. The winner will be recognized in the press and on social media. Stop down and enjoy the bounty of summer.
