Coaches/Teams:
Southern Maryland Aquatics- USA and Maryland Swimming affiliated swim team based in La Plata, MD that continues to provided top level training to our excellent local athletes despite limited resources. The Coaching staff comprised of lifetime locals is dedicated to promoting the sport at the highest level. SMDA represents the best of Aquatics in La Plata. Head Coach Jeff Carbone is a longtime La Plata resident.
Mary Jane Cupples- La Plata High School Head Coach. Lifetime La Plata resident and supporter of aquatics in our community for more than 30 years. MJ is also the longtime Head Coach of the Hawthorne Gators swim team (summer rec level swim team based at Hawthorne Country Club).
