History Society members have the chance to attend our latest archive session at Keighley Local Studies Library (upstairs in the main library on North Street) on Saturday 21st March 2026 (10am - 1pm).This time the focus is on 200 years of live music performances in the town - from the brass bands put together by different firms or villages in the area, to the folk and rock bands of the 1960s and later; through church performances and classical music competitions. The Library and the History Society will be teaming up to tell some of the stories of this surprisingly rich history.
Plus, as usual, there will be the chance to pursue your own queries with the Library team who are available to us exclusively during that morning.
There is a £2 charge to come along, payable on the door on the day. Please let Tim Neal know if you are planning to come along so we have an idea of numbers. Refreshments will be available partway through the session.
