Local Lounge returns to BCAC on Friday, April 19 with a stellar lineup of musicians sure to please your ears, stimulate your brains and get your feet moving! It's roots and blues night at Local Lounge!One Dime Duo is a dynamic and talented acoustic duo who have crafted their unique sound and songwriting approach by blending influential styles of Blues, R&B and Soul. They have played in and around the Boston/New England area as a duo and as a 4-piece electric band for many years. Winners of the 2022 Boston Blues Society Blues Challenge solo/duo category and the 2023 Granite State Blues Society Challenge, The Duo returned to Memphis and made it to the Semi-Finals at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis in January 2024. They will feature cuts from their new, highly acclaimed release "Side Hustle" in their Local Lounge set.

Justin Laing is a Newburyport native who has performed all around the area with his band "Southbound Outlaws," as well as performing as a solo singer-songwriter. Justin's sound tends toward the rootsy-bluesy side of music, blending a deep appreciation for musical traditions with a contemporary sensibility and sound. Artty Francoeur has been writing, playing guitar, and harmonica, and singing for 30 years now. He gets a lot of his style from country, blues, and folk, though likes to dive into some reggae and rock for more upbeat writing. A story teller at heart, Artty writes the stories of his travels and feelings of the people he has met along the way. Life’s ups and downs always have a place in his songs!
