The Local Hotel is pleased to present the 2025 return of ‘Local Heroes’, an interview/performance series hosted by longstanding WA music journalist, Bob Gordon.Every Thursday Bob interviews a beloved guest about their life and art and whatever takes their fancy, with some tunes contained therein. It’s a chat show at your favourite local pub, with some of your local favourites in the mix.
Bob's guest on March 27 is Eileen Glynn of Freo band Aretinos any many and varied creative pursuits. In her formative years Eileen was inspired by the Velvet Underground song 'Rock'n'Roll' and the idea that a young woman’s life could be saved by dancing to that fine, fine music. She’s taken that approach in a life full of music, comedy and visual art. Head out back to The Garage for an 8pm-ish start.
