The show is a local favorite because of the way we present the art. Every year, we find a newly constructed house (or a high-end office space) and we fill every wall, every corner, every window with pieces. It makes it easy for the art patrons to imagine how a piece of artwork might look in their own homes.
The partners in Local Color feature the work of over 20 local and regional artists. Each artist will bring an average of nine pieces filling a house that is for sale with hundreds of pieces, including original pottery, metal sculptures, furniture, paintings and wall hangings, stained glass and mosaics.
In the gift shop, we offer small pieces of pottery, cards, glass jewelry, prints and framed prints of original work, and several other hand-made pieces.
