About this Event
Grateful Being Me follows Rosila's exploration of self-discovery and connection, marked by trial and error, mirrors the emotional experiences of countless children joining a whole new world. By fostering an understanding of diverse experiences, this book contributes immeasurably to the creation of a more inclusive and compassionate world for all.
The transition from Canada to America as a young Asian girl, coupled with English not being her first language, inspired Deena to tell this story in her debut picture book, “Grateful Being Me.” Deena aims to encourage self-acceptance, diversity, and inclusion in children by empowering them to share and relate to others.
