Local Artist Spotlight: The Candy Rocks

The Candy Rocks are a four piece power pop group from Annapolis, Maryland. Nate Stanley (Vocals/Guitar/Keys), Graham Furniss (Bass/Vocals), Pat Dayney-Smith (Guitar/Vocals), and Aidan Ewald (Drums/Vocals) write and perform original music inspired and influenced by the sounds of pop and melodic rock of the 60s and 70s, with some modern twists. With every member being a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist, The Candy Rocks do not shy away from adding creative harmonies and background vocals, as well as occasionally switching around the instrumentation to keep things fresh. The band has performed on stages of all sizes throughout Maryland, as well as the International Pop Overthrow Festival in New York City. The band has also opened for bands such as The Lemon Twigs and Danny Ayala. With one single out now, The Candy Rocks are currently in the process of recording their debut album.
