LO SF Bay Area | Rush Creek Hike

Join us to hike the Bahia Trail Loop at Rush Creek Open Space Preserve in Novato on Saturday, January 25th at 10am. This preserve has easy-going roads and trails through tidal wetlands and oak woodlands.

Things to note:

• The Bahia Trail Loop is 4 miles long and has 367 ft in elevation gain. It is an multi-use trail with some steep sections featured along the trail. Here is the link for more details.
• Dogs are welcomed but must be leashed at all times.
• Bahia Trail borders the Petaluma River Marsh Wildlife Area for more birding opportunities. Water birds abound. Savannah sparrows and dark-eyed juncos nest in tall grasses and low shrubs.
• There are NO restrooms at this preserve, but plenty of options to stop along the way at a grocery store or gas station if needed.
• We will bring sweet and savory treats and snacks to share with everyone.
