About this Event
Join Marigold Society, Sol Collective, NorCal Resist, and Latino Outdoors in harvesting the cempasuchil we grew this year in community. We will be revisiting the intentions with which we planted the seeds, harvesting for ourselves and for community orgs, and ending in community and ceremony with a prayer in the form of danza from White Hawk Ixtatutli. Harvest will occur from 5:30-7pm, and danza prayer will begin at approcimately 7:15PM.
To bring:
- Layers, as it may get chilly!
- Garden gloves and pruners if you have them (we will have a limited number available to borrow).
- Headlamps or flashlights, as it's getting dark early!
- Reusible plate, utensils, and mug.
- Salsa to share! We will have tamales to eat and would like to do a salsa potluck :)
IMPORTANT: You must sign the participation waiver before attending the event:
Note: Latino Outdoors activities are free and in service to our communities. Our volunteer leaders donate time and energy to plan these experiences, paying close attention to the number of people each event can accommodate. Please honor your reservation, and if you are unable to attend an event that you signed up for, take a moment to cancel your reservation so that another community member may participate and volunteer organizers can plan accordingly. We greatly appreciate it!
