A 3-day Tiji Festival at Lo ManthangTiji Festival is celebrated to banish the demon with musket shots and cheers from Lo Manthang. The 3 days annual Tiji festival is celebrated in the courtyard of the Palace.
First Day: The festival begins at noon with the sounds of Tibetan horns, drums and cymbals. Monks come from the monastery in a ceremonial dress for Tsa Chaam Dance performance.
Second Day: Nga Chaam Dance is performed by monks and tells the story of Dorje Jono.
Third-Day: The Rha Chaam dance is performed by masked dancers. The dance symbolizes the end of evil.
