ABOUT Loïc
Loïc Dequidt is a French pianist and composer. Born in Lille in 1973, he moved to Lund, Sweden, in 2003.
Loïc's approach to jazz—and music in general—resides within the power of believing that you can get inspiration from nearly anything you like and make it your own. In his case, this includes influences from great jazz voices such as John Coltrane, Herbie Hancock and John Taylor, as well as composers like Maurice Ravel and Olivier Messiaen.
Furthermore, he has immersed himself in Indian classical music through extensive studying with renowned musicians from that tradition. These diverse influences converge into forming a musical language that is distinctively his own.
