Mākslinieces veselības sarežģījumu dēļ tika atcelts kamermūzikas koncerts ar LNSO rezidējošās mākslinieces Kristīnes Blaumanes dalību 2025. gada decembrī. Par laimi, atveseļošanās process norit veiksmīgi, taču pārāk liela fiziskā slodze tam varētu kaitēt, tādēļ esam vienojušies, ka 13. februāra koncertā Pētera Vaska Pirmā čellkoncerta atskaņojumā Olari Eltsa vadībā solista lomā stāsies cits mūsu domubiedrs mūzikā, čellists Kristaps Bergs. Vēlam Kristīnei ātru atveseļošanos un ar nepacietību gaidām koncertu 30. aprīlī!

Pēc ilgāka pārtraukuma ar LNSO atkalsatiksies orķestra bijušais mākslinieciskais vadītājs un galvenais diriģents (2001-2006) Olari Eltss. Ar Kristapu Bergu kā solistu izskanēs Pētera Vaska Pirmais čellkoncerts, kurā komponists piecās daļās atspoguļojis personības pretīmstāvēšanu brutālai varai. Savukārt Žana Sibēliusa slavenākā – Piektā simfonija – tapusi 20. gadsimta muzikālo pārmaiņu krustugunīs, un šie meklējumi atspoguļojas arī izcilā somu komponista skaņurakstā, kas tomēr nemainīgi palicis krāšņs un piesātināts. Programmā arī igauņu komponista Tīra un skotu komponistes Masgreivas veltījumi Sibēliusam.

Due to health complications, the chamber music concert featuring the LNSO’s Artist-in-Residence Kristīne Blaumane, scheduled for December 2025, had to be cancelled. Fortunately, her recovery is progressing well; however, excessive physical strain could be detrimental. Therefore, it has been agreed that at the concert on 13 February, the solo part in Pēteris Vasks’ Cello Concerto No. 1, conducted by Olari Elts, will be performed by another like-minded musical colleague of ours — cellist Kristaps Bergs.
We wish Kristīne a swift recovery and look forward with anticipation to the concert on 30 April!

If, due to the change of soloist, you decide not to attend the concert, it is possible to return your purchased ticket before the concert begins either at the physical Biļešu Paradīze ticket office at Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street 5 (Riga Congress Hall), or by sending the ticket to [email protected], indicating that you wish to return the ticket due to the change of soloist.

After a longer absence, the orchestra welcomes back its former music and artistic director Olari Elts (2001–2006). With Kristaps Bergs as the soloist, they will perform Pēteris Vasks’ First Cello Concerto, a five-movement work in which the composer explores the confrontation between the individual and a brutal power. Meanwhile, Jean Sibelius wrote his most renowned Fifth Symphony amid the musical turmoils of the 20th century, which is reflected in the great Finnish composer’s score while still retaining a resolutely vivid and rich language. he programme also includes tributes to Sibelius by Estonian composer Erkki-Sven Tüür and Scottish composer Thea Musgrave.
