Lleswyl 2026:
The hybrid, live-streamed event, will be broadcast live from 7pm!
It will be an evening of outstanding music – a diverse line-up of amazing artists as Lleswyl 2026 reprises acts from its festivals including Afro Cluster, the haunting Casi Wyn with Sinfonia Cymru, the sounds of New Orleans with Band pres Llareggub, co-founder of the new Black Welsh Music Awards Ify Iwobi, Caldicott’s very own Rusty Shackle, the amazing N’famady, cover band Soul Lotta Funk, folk from icons Ar Log, Dr and the Medics and many, many more.
There really will be something for everyone.
The music is blended with inspiring conversations between the hosts and invited guests - clinicians, patients, families and carers, all sharing uplifting stories about living with illness, illustrating the vital role of emotional health in recovery from illness and in living life to the full while dealing with chronic or life-limiting conditions.
Launching the charity's new fundraising single:
This year, the event will also launch Daring to Dream’s new charity single, a track written especially by Lylia Young a Bridgend College undergraduate music student. Lylia is part of a team of musicians who deliver Daring to Dream’s ‘Space to Sing’ in wards at Princess of Wales Hospital, Bridgend.
The emotional impact of illness affects nearly all of us
- In Wales, around 1.2 million adults live with illness: a staggering 48% of us.
- Almost every family, street, workplace, community is touched by illness in some way.
Illness doesn’t just affect our bodies
- Illness touches our emotions, and affects our hopes and dreams
- Illness can lead to distress, anger, anxiety, grief and affecting how we deal with it
- Too often, those feelings stay hidden.
- To live as well as possible with illness, we need both clinical care and emotional support
The impact of Daring to Dream’s ‘Spaces to Talk’ and ‘Spaces to Sing’ is profound
- Much of what Daring to Dream does to support emotional health & wellbeing happens behind closed doors – inside hospitals, at bedsides, and in private 1‑1 conversations.
- Its impact is genuinely profound for the people who experience it.
- Its impact though is often invisible to the wider public.
This is why Daring to Dream has Lleswyl, our annual wellbeing festival.
- Hear us, hear our voices talking about what it feels like living with illness with live guests who will join us on the night – patients, their families, carers and clinicians
- Sing with us, sharing our feelings that come from living with illness and enjoy the most incredible Line-Up both live and from our incredible 4 years of archives
