WEEK 4 Intermediate
Pheasant Tail Soft Hackle. The Pheasant Tail Soft Hackle pattern features a Hungarian Partridge fiber front and a soft hackle. The soft hackle gives the fly movement, while the Partridge fibers mimic the appearance of an emerging Caddis. This fly can be used to imitate a variety of aquatic insects, including mayflies, stoneflies, and damselfly nymphs. It can be fished in freestone and tailwater rivers, and is often used in late spring and summer.
