About Llanthony Secunda Manor
Constructed between 1136 and 1205, Llanthony Secunda Manor in Caldicot was initially established as a working grange affiliated with the Llanthony Priory. Following the dissolution of the monasteries, the manor came under the possession of Henry VIII. Subsequently, the property served as both residential housing and farmland until the 1950s, when it was acquired by developers for conversion into flats. In the 1970s, efforts began to restore and transform the building into a manor house, with the current owners completing the repairs upon purchasing the property in 2005.
Some of the reported paranormal activity at the manor includes: People hearing the ghostly chanting of monks, being pushed by unseen forces, objects mysteriously moving location into empty rooms and even seeing full body apparitions.
