RASMUS HEDLUND
Rasmus Hedlund is a Helsinki-based composer, producer, and live performer who creates evocative and often cinematic soundscapes in his work.
His compositions vary in style, with a particular focus on ambient, dub, and rhythmic elements. Synthetic sounds and field recordings often serve as the foundation for his music. Hedlund frequently performs as part of an audiovisual experience alongside media artist Paula Lehtonen.
Hedlund’s sonic world can be perceived as warm and airy or misty and melancholic. At the Sibelius Museum, the audience will experience a profound and organic soundscape.

JOSU MÄMMI
Josu Mämmi is a Finnish composer, multi-instrumentalist, sound designer, and electronic musician who draws upon his versatile background to create genre-bending music and audiovisual productions.
His eclectic output blends and distils material from diverse sources, resulting in often surprising and colourful textures. Josu’s multifaceted work experience in music, contemporary dance, and short film projects has diversified his sound, and his releases have spread across the globe, reaching audiences through the sets of A-Trak, Laurent Garnier, Sam Feldt, Honey Dijon, Maceo Plex, and Radio Slave, just to name a few.
Josu views electronic music as a powerful recreational tool to nurture both the physical and spiritual sides of humanity, and its abstract nature is a constant source of inspiration. Melancholy and minimalism depict the mindscape of the Nordic artist and can be heard predominantly in his work. Nordic landscapes and nature inspire Josu's emotionally resonant creations, while his fascination with contemporary tools, such as generative sequencing and musical algorithmic systems, infuses his music with a distinctive modern edge. In his live shows, Josu brings an even more organic feeling to his music through improvisation and aleatoric sequencing.
His other work includes sound design for several contemporary dance pieces such as Biodatasonaatti (Minimi 2023), Rieha (Zodiak/Kinetic Orchestra 2023) and Mostly Mass (Kinetic Orchestra 2021). Josu holds a master’s degree in Culture and Arts and teaches Music Technology and Musical Creativity at the Turku Conservatory of Music, Finland.
"[Mämmi's] vision elucidates the album as an audio experiment where the end result is greater than its factors."
-Matti Komulainen, Turun Sanomat, 2021 (About Mirari)
"Finnish maestro Josu Mämmi ... deserves every bit of success he gets."

VJ VIXEN

Recently, Lehtonen has focused on short films and exhibitions exploring themes such as the human relationship with nature. The audiovisual performance with Rasmus Hedlund can be seen as a small-scale comeback as well as a continuation of their long-standing collaboration, which has lasted for over a decade.

VJ TURU SANOMA
The people who have observed closely the Finnish techno culture and the birth of the visual scene are supposed to respect the role of the city of Turku in that piece of near history. Some of those people also might know that one of the original techno supporters, avant-gardists of the scene-soon-to-be-born and “skweee vj´s” was the legendary VJ Turu Sanoma – a true dreamer and visionary, who was often seen making mayhem at events ca 20 years ago. He will come and spread the colours upon the music. -Mesak
