LJMU Physical Education, School Sport and Physical Activity Network Launch

The event is an opportunity to find out more about LJMU’s PESSPA Network and build relationships with LJMU PE, Coaching and Sport Science provision.

The event will;

• introduce the network and identify areas for collaboration

• Provide opportunities to build partnerships between PE teachers/coaches, LJMU students and staff

• Include workshops and practical activities that showcase innovative examples of work in PE, School Sport and Physical Activity

Summary of Event Schedule

• Introduction to the PESSPA strands (afterschool and holiday clubs, research, CPD, and programme related professional learning)

• Supporting LJMU student work based learning placements and outreach activities

• Lunch (provided)

• Introduction to Kinball and Catapult sports technology

• Development of subject knowledge and implementation of this into practice (Guest speakers include PE teachers across Merseyside)
