November is our Veterans Day celebration and we welcome Rebecca Vicknair (Veteran, wife, mom, and past President of Central Republican woman) as our quest speaker. Rebecca joined the US Navy in 2007
where she served as a Naval Aircrewman on the P3 Orion, specializing in anti-submarines warfare. She was trained to track and locate submarines , an essential mission that required skill, precision and dedication.
Over the course of her service, Rebecca completed four major deployments. Her naval career took her to Japan, Guam, Australia, Philippines, Peru, Sicily, Djibouti, Senegal, and Scotland. Her most memorable moments she was launched as part of the Ready crew to search for and located Russian Sierra submarine.
Rebecca’s new role includes devoted wife, mother to four beautiful children. Although her uniform has been set aside, the values of courage,discipline and perseverance she learned in the Navy continue to guide her life and the example she sets for her family and community.
On this day, we honor Rebecca Vicknair for her service to our nation and her dedication both in uniform and beyond.
