Have you been diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes or Prediabetes?�Would you like more support to manage your condition through changes to what you eat?Our new diabetes support group called Slow Carb Lyme is up and running here in Lyme Regis. We are holding our second meeting to begin the work of supporting each other to manage our diabetes through changing our diet. You are very welcome if this is your first time with the group or came along to our very first meeting.
Who are we? Dr Sue Beckers, formerly a practising GP in Charmouth who currently runs a similar group in Bridport. And Julie Sheppard, a local resident living with diabetes. We would love you to join us to look at practical ways to:
* manage diabetes through diet and lifestyle
* share tips and experiences with others in the same situation
* access trusted information and resources
* find encouragement and support in a friendly setting
Most of us find that making changes together is easier than going it alone! You’ll have the chance to ask questions, swap ideas, and learn strategies that can help improve your energy, reduce hunger, manage weight, and support better blood results.
