What are Living Room Screenings?
An intimate film series where cinephiles and movie lovers can enjoy movies in a cozy, living room-style setting. With comfy seating, a big screen, and a relaxed vibe perfect for connecting with others. Included will be light refreshments and freshly made popcorn!
Our evenings kick off with the screening of 2 local, indepdently created short films.
How To Stay Awake, Vanessa Magic
As a woman clings to consciousness, a desperate struggle unfolds. Can she escape the clutches of her sleep paralysis, or will her nocturnal tormentor finally get what it wants?
Lavenza, Lauren Eden
When Lavenza, a 19th-century noblewoman, overhears her husband complaining about her looks. She turns herself into his ideal wife by thrifting the body parts from all the women he desires.
Our Surprise Spooky Feature
We’re keeping a little secret for after the shorts. You won’t know the feature film until the opening scenes roll. Part of the fun of October is the thrill of not knowing what’s coming next, but you can expect a story where love is stitched together in unexpected ways, with a soundtrack that might rattle your bones, and where the world feels just a little topsy-turvy. As if it could be Halloween… or maybe Christmas.
