In November 2024, West Flamboro Presbyterian Church is celebrating its 192nd Anniversary. To celebrate, WFPC has begun the “The Christie Learning Series.” This weekend of gatherings are all open to the community with everyone welcome.
“Living Out Love” will be the theme for this year’s event. The gifted and dynamic guest speaker, Prof. Dr. Thomas Jay Oord is our invited guest for this event at West Flamboro Presbyterian Church, November 1-3, 2024.
Prof. Oord has more than twenty books published, plus hundreds of articles, and is the leader of the movement for the advancement of Open and Relational Theology (ORT).

Guest Speaker: Thomas Oord
Thomas Jay Oord, Ph.D., is a theologian, philosopher, and scholar of multi-disciplinary
studies. Oord directs the Center for Open and Relational Theology and doctoral
students at Northwind Theological Seminary. He is an award-winning author and has
written or edited more than thirty books. A gifted speaker, Oord lectures at
universities, conferences, churches, and institutions. He is known for his contributions
to research on love, science and religion, open and relational theology, the problem of
suffering, and the implications of freedom for transformational relationships.
