SERVICES FOR THE BLIND AND VISUALLY IMPAIRED INDEPENDENT LIVING PROGRAM
with Tim Riley, Rehabilitation Instructor, and Michelle Treese, Field Supervisor 1
The Independent Living Program provides services to eligible individuals of all ages who are blind or who have a severe visual impairment to enable customers to care for themselves in their homes and communities. Rehabilitation Instructors provide a wide range of independent living services to all eligible individuals in all areas of the state, including those living in rural counties. Instructors provide direct services to individuals on a one-on-one basis and coordinate other services which may be available from other agencies and organizations. All services are customized to meet the individual's needs. Join Tim and Michelle as they discuss what services the program provides, who can benefit, and how to refer someone to this free program.
Tim Riley is a Rehabilitation Instructor who serves customers in the Knoxville region and graduated from Berea College with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Mr. Riley has worked with the state for over 9 years, in Family Assistance and with Services for the Blind and Visually Impaired.
