About this Event
The liver fluke, Fasciola hepatica, is a highly pathogenic flatworm parasite of ruminants, mainly sheep and cattle. It causes severe liver damage, especially in sheep and can result in the sudden death of previously healthy animals. The disease is responsible for considerable economic losses to farmers
Join us and Laura Eden from Bishopton Vets to discuss how farmers can work to protect their stock and manage the use of chemical parasiticides, saving time and money as well as protecting and benefiting the environment and soil quality.
Supper will be provided by Nidd Way Catering
Funded by the Nidderdale Farming in Protected Landscape programme.
