Lively Minds team is excited to welcome Moira Docherty to the Lively Minds Group on Tuesday 18 June at the Cross. She will take us through her musical journey. Moira is a versatile, classically trained singer who is accomplished in many different musical genres. Comfortable singing opera, operetta, Scottish, oratorio, songs from musicals and show tunes, she is equally happy on the recital platform singing Mozart or Schumann among others.
She has sung throughout Scotland with Choral Societies, at Corporate Events, Weddings, Burns Suppers and Viennese Nights. Moira sings with accompaniment ranging from piano and string quartet to full orchestra.
Her memorable Moments include a solo performance for Her Majesty The Queen, at Crathie Kirk, Balmoral, Scotland; performing at the National Television Awards at the O2 Arena in London to a star studded audience of 14,000 and duetting with Emma Kirkby, one of the world's most renowned sopranos and early music specialists.
Join us at noon in the main hall at Fountainhall at the Cross (Albyn Place, formerly Queen's Cross) for a sandwich lunch before the talk.
