About: Youth MHFA Course - Bass Coast South Gippsland Live4Life
The course is 14 hour Youth Mental Health First Aid training, across 2 days in-person (7 hours per day).
It teaches any adult (18 years and over) how to provide initial support to adolescents experiencing a mental health problem or crisis.
Over these two days you will learn about:
- Adolescent development
- Signs and symptoms of common mental health problems in young people
- Where and how to get help
- What sort of help has been shown by research to be effective, and
- How to provide first aid in crisis situations
Participants will receive a Youth Mental Health First Aid manual and Certificate of Accreditation on successful completion of the course.

Day One: 9.00am-5.00pm, Monday 2 December 2024
Day Two: 9.00am-5.00pm, Tuesday 3 December 2024
