The session will guide you through:

• An overview of the history and evolution of live visuals, providing context and inspiration. 

• Practical demonstrations on using Modul8 and Resolume Avenue, highlighting key functionalities tailored for live performance.

• Strategies for clip creation and customisation

Selected participants could be invited to showcase their new found skills at future events at Aspex Portsmouth.

Preparations:

• Download and install a demo version of either one of the VJ applications below:
• Module8 (Mac OS) https://www.garagecube.com/buy-try-modul8/
• Resolume Avenue (Mac & PC OS) https://www.resolume.com/download/ 

• You will need a reasonably up to date OS and a laptop that can handle graphics manipulation. We will not be working with sound, so the video/graphics capability is all you need to consider.
