About this Event

Lives Taken, Lives Remembered is a widely acclaimed thought provoking exhibit which documents lynchings that took place in Fulton County, GA. The exhibit will engage quilters and historians alike, as it features 8 original quilts along with the documented history of the person in whose honor the quilt is made. The exhibit will be housed at the Southwest Arts Center from August 7th - September 2d. While at the Festival, you may also view the Good Trouble Quilts -- Honoring the Life and Legacy of Congressman John Lewis. Of course, the Atlanta Quilt Festival juried exhibit will also be available for your viewing pleasure. All three exhibits are free and open to the public, but donations are welcome.
