About this Event
Learn about basic concepts and possibilities of gardening off the ground!
Even if you have limited yard space and only one or two trees, you can still increase the diversity of plants in your yard—whatever its size—by gardening “in the trees”.
Are you a condo- or apartment-dwellers with a balcony? An interesting garden can still be created using a large piece of driftwood or a small live containerized tree.
This workshop will introduce participants to the following concepts:
- The idea of gardening off the ground—that is, WITH NO SOIL!
- Tactics by which plants can be grown off the ground
- The wide diversity of plants that can be grown in a very small space
- Local resources for sourcing suitable, high-quality plants
Leave this workshop with real data about the aerial plants you’d like to grow and where to get them, and ultimately, the knowledge to keep them healthy and thriving.
