Join us in the Marquette cafe for live music with loca musician Try Graham!Troy Graham is a performer, both a singer-songwriter musician and poet from Marquette, MI. He travels to distant places sharing his love of folk music and words by performing original and traditional songs for all ages, as well as children’s concerts at libraries and festivals. Most recently, he received the Performer of the Year Award for the City of Marquette, 2022.
Troy is also an avid writer of songs and poems. His work has been published in 5 different collections, including an independently published book, “Fresh Water Mermaids.” He conducts readings with other poets and hosts creative writing workshops, as well as organizes specialized programs for students in schools. Troy is both a traveling musician and teaching artist, talented at inspiring youth to write both poetry and songs.
Stage named as, "Great Lakes Graham." you will find Troy performing actively year round, especially in the summer months in beautiful regions surrounding Lake Superior and Lake Michigan. He has performed as a solo act, (vocals, guitar and harmonica) as well as with other artists at major traditional music festivals such as Hiawatha Traditional Music Festival, Marquette, MI (2022) and Thunder Bay Folk Festival, Alpena, MI (2023). Previously he toured with a bluegrass band named Sparrow Tree.
