Kicking off live music at Fred's for 2026 we've got a solo performance from the excellent Joe Keeley, a rising star in the UK country music scene, known for blending outlaw country with Southern rock and Americana. Hailing from Suffolk, he was raised on classic country music thanks to his musician father, and started touring and performing when he left education at just 17.Joe began as a solo artist, releasing his first original record Headstrong in 2019, which became a Top 10 UK country album. He later formed a band (The Joe Keeley Band) with fellow Suffolk musicians, creating a high-energy alt-country rock sound. Their debut album Blackwood hit No.1 in the UK Country charts and the band haven't looked back since. Having played festivals like Maverick, Buckle & Boots, The British Country Music Awards and NashDown as well as a headline UK tour in 2023, their fanbase continues to grow. Their latest EP Burial Ground continues the band’s storytelling tradition with hard-hitting tracks and heartfelt ballads. The bands latest release is the single Black Label Lady, which marks the first release of studio recorded music since 2022.
Influenced by legends like Steve Earle, Waylon Jennings, and Johnny Cash, Joe’s music is lyric-driven, gritty, and emotionally honest. Joe’s passion for music is deeply personal—he even has the Copperhead Road album cover tattooed on his arm. If you’re into raw, authentic country with a rock edge, he’s one to watch.
