From the classic sounds of the 60s, 70s, and 80s comes the Classic Rock, Soul, and Blues music of The Mick and Rick Band. The band was founded by Mick Pera and Rick Maselli, who have been friends since grade school. Mick and Rick have been performing as a duo since 2013, combining our live singing and playing with pre-recorded background vocals and music.
The Mick and Rick Band brings many years of musical experience together in a single unit. The band is:
- Mick Pera on Lead Vocals and Percussions
- Rick Maselli on Guitar, Keyboards, Harmonica and Vocals
- Paul Labin on Drums and Vocals
- Rich Frank on Bass and Vocals
- Jeff Curtis on Keyboard and Vocals
The songs played by The Mick and Rick Band cover a wide range of styles including Rock, Classic Rock, Soul, Motown, British Rock, Blues and more. The songs are rich in vocals with a very dynamic and fresh sound.
All five members of The Mick and Rick Band have been playing in bands since the 1960s. The band prides itself on being highly professional and entertaining. At each performance, the crowds are dancing and singing along to the songs they know and love. A night with The Mick and Rick Band promises to be a night to remember.
All the members of The Mick and Rick Band are lifetime residents of the Greater Akron Ohio area. Mick Pera and Rick Maselli both live in Fairlawn, Paul Labin and Jeff Curtis both live in Akron, and Rich Frank lives in Cuyahoga Falls. All the band members are married and our wives, who are the band’s biggest fans, regularly attend the gigs.
