In 2021, saxophonist Ben Green started Soundwaves Funk Collective, a band that fuses instrumental improvisational funk rock with heavy guitar sounds. Soundwaves has played in several Baltimore and DC venues including the 8x10, the Ottobar, Baltimore Soundstage, Pearl Street Warehouse, the Public Option, the Pocket, Pie Shop, and Oshaughassy's Pub. Soundwaves has shared the stage with a diverse array of artists including touring bands Thumpasaurs, The Samples, Space Koi, Chalk Dinosaur, Solar Circuit and over 30 local bands in the DMV area.
