For their third show at the hallowed Galactic Panther in Old Town Alexandria, ShawnMikael[s] is inviting the area's best sketch comedians, musicians, and best comedian-musicians to join us: our musical guest is hip-hop artist and local freestyle genius Gravy. We've got sketches from the best sketch comedy troupe in the DMV, Bad Medicine. Our host? Guitar in hand, she's fast becoming one of the area's best stand-ups and singer of satire-laden comedic songs: Daphne London! And finally, coming out of retirement and once again slapping on the 'ol improv cleats, it's local DC improv legend Joe Uchno! It might be hot out, but this show is pretty damned cool (see what we did there with the whole "cool" thing?).

ShawnMikael[s] — a two-man long-form improvisational show combining the talents of two of the DC improv scene’s veteran improvisers: Mikael Johnson, a mainstay at Washington Improv Theater’s long-form troupe Jackie, and Shawn Westfall, for 12 years the exclusive teacher of improv at the DC Improv, founding cast-member of iMusical, The Improvised Musical; and most recently the co-founder and Artistic Director of The Unified Scene Theater in Washington, DC. They've played on comedy festival stages across the country, including Philadelphia, Kansas City, Charleston, Baltimore, Richmond, and here in DC, including The Capital Fringe Fest in 2012, where they were named “Best Of The Fringe.”
