The Nelson Guitar Orchestra was formed in 2010 so that amateur players and students could play music together for pleasure and at the same time, learn more about playing music and working as a group.
We normally meet once a week on a Tuesday evening for an hour and a half, and give two or three performances each year.
The orchestra is for Classical Guitarists and our programmes consist of original contemporary works written for Guitar ensemble and arrangements of Classical and world music.
