Join Marie Willis, Dave North, and Claire Young of Belli Clarinetti for an enchanting performance of clarinet trios and duets.These three avid clarinetists are members of the Nelson-based quartet Belli Clarinetti, led by Lucy Rainey, and are proud performers with the Nelson Symphony Orchestra (NSO).
Belli Clarinetti means Beautiful Clarinets in Italian and our group loves to celebrate the beautiful sound of the clarinet family and its wonderful versatility in many different musical styles.
Marie holds a Bachelor of Music, specialist pedagogy training (Dalcroze Eurhythmics), and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Music Therapy. When she's not playing, she teaches both clarinet and piano.
Dave has extensive experience in jazz bands and currently performs with the DEKA Quartet. He studied jazz at Victoria University in Wellington, played in the Jazz Club Big Band and currently performs around town in various groups.
Claire played through school and university in quartets, orchestras, and concert bands, and has returned to playing the clarinet as an adult.
Passionate about music and the joy it brings, they look forward to sharing their love of the clarinet with you.
