About this Event
Live Longer Better in Cumbria is Active Cumbria’s programme to support older adults, particularly those with or at risk of long-term health conditions, to be more active. Since its launch event at Energus, Workington, in November 2022, the programme has gone from strength to strength. Join us for this face-to-face event that will provide a learning and development space for partners and providers across Cumbria who share the mission to improve the health and quality of life of Older Adults.

Are we happy with what we have got? Can we find ways of getting better outcomes for older adults without more resources or time? This is your opportunity to reflect on the importance of behaviour change theory and develop skills for relational rather than transactional interactions with Older Adults around physical activity and movement. Keynote speakers and workshop leaders include representatives from Westmorland and Furness and Cumberland Council Public Health, Later Life Training, Flippin’ Pain and experts from the NHS.
