Lein (meaning grief in english) is fresh blood in the underground estonian black metal scene, conceived in the very beginning of 2023 on the cold shores of Tallinn. Taking influence from many styles like traditional black metal, punk and thrash, their songs are varied while still retaining their own agressive, atmospheric and melancholic sound. Their songs are mostly based in ancient estonian history, mythology, uprisings and wars for freedom.Their first demo EP “The Call of Grief” was released in April of 2024. Their second demo EP “Maarjamaa Viimne Koit” is set to release in October of 2024.
