Whole Person Health is One Health for All
Join us in person for an uplifting event all about embracing a greener lifestyle while boosting your overall well-being. Discover how taking care of the planet and yourself go hand in hand. Expect inspiring talks, hands-on activities, and a welcoming community ready to support your journey to feeling better inside and out. Don’t miss this chance to connect, learn, and live healthier!
The program centers on important questions: What matters most to you right now? What brings you joy and happiness? What’s needed to develop habits, build a support system, and live the life you want?
Create a better future by embracing nature. Heal yourself. Heal your relationships. Connect with the natural world. Start your journey toward whole-person health and learn how to develop a personalized health plan that meets your needs.
In this series of lectures, Dr. Siham Muntasser explores the concepts of Whole Person Health and One Health. These frameworks offer a powerful way to understand the connection between our health and our relationship with nature. Spending time outdoors is closely connected to our physical and mental well-being. This knowledge provides valuable opportunities to improve our health and quality of life. The program allows you to learn from a proven, repeatable, and reliable system of care rooted in both ancient Eastern traditions and modern Western medicine—showing how to optimize your health, resilience, and well-being by adopting new methods to live a healthier, happier, and more connected life with nature.
The program explains how our lifestyle, especially the time we spend in nature, affects our health and overall well-being. It explores how living in nature influences oxidative stress, mitochondrial health, the gut-brain connection, brain function, neurotransmission, and neuroplasticity—key factors for our ability to think, feel, and move. The program also discusses how lifestyle choices relate to cardiometabolic conditions like heart disease, obesity, and diabetes. From a neurobiological perspective, it covers how mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, and burnout, along with neurodegenerative diseases like Parkinson’s, memory loss, and dementia, can often be prevented or managed through interventions beyond Medic*tion. It highlights how nature can act as medicine and how a nature-based prescription can transform your life.
Dr. Muntasser is a board-certified psychiatrist, lifestyle medicine specialist, and health and wellness coach with a strong passion for the environment. She uses her diverse experience to share knowledge that is easy to understand and highly effective. This program welcomes anyone looking to enhance their life by connecting more with nature, especially those managing medical or mental health issues influenced by lifestyle factors (which is nearly everyone). Participants can schedule a free session with Dr. Muntasser to discuss their specific needs and learn how a nature prescription could benefit them.
