Izik
Saturday, November 29
Show starts at 6:00 p.m.

Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award-winning singer-songwriter Izik is a Hawai‘i-based artist known for his soulful vocals and emotionally resonant lyrical storytelling. Raised in the islands with familial roots on Moloka‘i, Izik brings a deep sense of place and cultural connection to every project he creates.

In 2025, Izik unveiled his most personal and expansive work to date: KŌWĀ. Shaped by five years of reflection, travel, and reconnection, the album marks his creative evolution and powerful return to music following the stillness of the pandemic. Inspired by a meditation on the color blue and its nuanced significance in Hawaiian language and worldview, KŌWĀ moves fluidly across genres—blending folk, R&B, country, reggae, and contemporary Hawaiian sounds. The lead single “Pīkake,” produced by Calvin Canha, served as the catalyst that set the project in motion. The rest of the album was recorded in Taumarunui, Aotearoa, in collaboration with Maori producer Brandon Haru and features contributions from longtime collaborators Dre Scot, JRoQ, and Lina Robins.

As Izik shares, “KŌWĀ is my celebration of life. It is my love letter to Moananuiākea. It is a snapshot of how much I am loved by my ‘ohana and my friends. It is a testament to the power we all have within us when we choose to call upon our kūpuna and lean upon our friends.”
