GETTING TO THE ARCHWAY

The Dumbo Archway is a public plaza underneath the Manhattan Bridge in DUMBO, Brooklyn. It’s on Water St between Anchorage Place and Adams St. You can use "28 Adams Street" for the purposes of maps. Parking in Dumbo is tricky! We strongly encourage you to take public transit.

THE MUSIC!

Jerron Paxton (formerly “Blind Boy” Paxton) and Dennis Lichtman are both world-renowned multi-instrumentalists and vocalists whose musical friendship has grown organically in New York City for more than a decade. Their formal partnership began with a video shoot, Just Cross the River From Queens, at the Louis Armstrong House Museum in 2017.

JOIN THE ARTIST ON THE INTERACTIVE ART WALL!

Emily Nam is an interdisciplinary artist, integrating design-led research and curatorial practice. Through her research she is examining the sensorial interplay between color and shape and its implications with a direct experience — to misuse, misinterpret and make contact with. Born in Australia [1984] — Emily has a B. Design (Fashion. Hons) RMIT, Australia [2010] including international studies at Parsons The New School of Design under the BFA (IDC) program, NYC [2008-09], and an MFA New York Studio School [2018]. Emily makes oil paintings, drawings and painted-objects in DUMBO, NYC. |  @namshapes
