At the heart of his approach for sharing and experimenting, as an endless quest for the beauty of the world, the ´Live Cinéma´ is also an ongoing critique of all forms of ownership and borders, in complete transparency.
A performance adapted to the venue, it sometimes involves local musicians and artists who take part in this game of magic mirrors held up to reality.
Vincent Moon is an independent French filmmaker and sound explorer. For over two decades he has travelled the world with a camera on his back, documenting music and ritual — from stadium rock to shamanic ceremonies, experimental electronics to village songs.
He co-created the Blogothèque series, and through his Petites Planètes collection has released more than 1,300 open-source films capturing popular and sacred sound traditions.
His performances have been presented at leading venues and festivals worldwide, including MoMA (New York), the Barbican (London), Jeu de Paume (Paris), Villa Medici (Rome), Le Guess Who (Utrecht), Inhotim (Brazil), Terraforma (Milan), MASP (São Paulo), and many more, across cities from Tokyo to Mexico City.
