For our final event before our summer hiatus, we welcome the Tom Barber Quintet to Fuel. For entry, we ask for £5 (cash/card). However, if you're a struggling student or don't have the means, we gladly accept £3.Likewise, if you're able and would like to contribute more, we gladly accept donations of £7.
All money goes towards the musicians, who we need to keep the events up and running!
Following on from their tribute to Mingus in September, the Tom Barber Quintet take to Fuel to perform music from a seminal album by tenor saxophone master Joe Henderson. “Double Rainbow” is Henderson’s own 1994 tribute to the prolific Brazilian composer Antonio Carlos Jobim, featuring some of his staple tunes, in amongst lesser known but no less compelling compositions.
Ed Kainyek - tenor saxophone
Jack Lewis - guitar
Tom Barber - piano
Thomas Betts - double bass
Matt Holmes - drums
*There will be a jam after the second set*
See you there!
