The Palm Beach Designer Lunge Presents:“Family Stuff: Palm Beach” by Qingjun Huang & “Music Series: Experimental Photography” by Liu Yang.
Join us at The Design Showroom on January 9th from 6 - 8:30pm for an enlightening evening with two exceptional artists, each offering a unique perspective on their artistic journeys. Both Artists will be giving a brief talk on their works at 7pm.
We are delighted to present two captivating exhibitions: “Family Stuff: Palm Beach” by Qingjun Huang. The exhibition will be comprised of 4 impressive photographs, that dive deep into the heart of diverse families from Palm Beach Florida , exploring their stories, possessions, and the dynamic interplay between individual lives and societal shifts. As well as “Music Series: Experimental Photography” by Liu Yang. In this show Liu Yang will showcase her newest work "Music series, I use developer and fixer as my paints, dripping them from syringe onto gelatin silver paper, the movement of my hand is motivated by music that I listen to while I create. Once the chemical solution touched the paper, the reaction started, and the stroke was done, no chance to revise. The paper then was fully fixed and washed. Afterwards, I use acid-free glue to put them on canvas, and resin it."
Following each lecture, attendees will have the incredible opportunity to personally meet and greet the artists. Engage in meaningful conversations, inquire about their artistic processes, and deepen your understanding of their unique perspectives.
Opening Reception: Thursday, January 9th from 6-8:30pm
